Your turnkey residential seminar

Downtown like seminar campus

A classic residential seminar often means a bunker-like hotel in an industrial zone and a shuttle bus dictating the schedule. We take the opposite approach: sessions, workshops, and meals all take place at Salt & Pepper, while your team members stay in quality hotels right in the city center. In the evening, Dijon is theirs to enjoy: wine bars, restaurants, lively squares. They return the next day rested and more engaged.

Our hotel and restaurant partners

We work with 3- to 5-star partner hotels located a 5- to 10-minute walk from the venue, and a selection of downtown restaurants for your free evenings or team dinners. You only have a single point of contact: we book, we coordinate, you enjoy.

Culinary workshop team
The team-building activity

Culinary team building... but not only that

The team cooking class remains our great classic: brigades formed, a chef in charge, everyone in an apron and no one on their phone anymore. In one hour, departments that never talk to each other find themselves negotiating the cooking time of a duck breast.

But the kitchen is just a gateway. Guided tastings, introductions to Burgundy wines, team-versus-team culinary challenges: we tailor the activity to what your teams need to experience, not to a catalog.

Up to 80 people · from one hour to half a day

Cooking workshop

The great classic. Mixed teams, a chef in charge, starter, main course, and dessert cooked and then enjoyed together at the table.

2 h to 4 h · 5 to 24 pers.

Top Chef Challenge

Mystery basket, limited time, brigade versus brigade, and a jury at the end. The competitive version, for teams that like a little friendly rivalry.

2 h to 4 h · 5 to 24 pers.

Tapas workshop

Standing format, small bites to share. We cook and graze at the same time, everyone mingles. Ideal right before an afterwork.

1.5 hours · up to 80 guests.

Mixology workshop

Shaker in hand, two or three signature cocktails to make yourself. The non-alcoholic versions are crafted with the same care.

1 h · up to 80 pers.

Wine tasting

Guided introduction to Burgundy wines, seated or standing, with gourmet pairings prepared by our chef.

1 h · up to 80 pers.

Mustard workshop

The most Dijonnais of our workshops. You make your own mustard, talk about seeds and terroir, and everyone leaves with their own jar.

1 h to 2 h · up to 24 guests.

Pastry workshop

Entremets, tarts, or cream puffs with our pastry chef. Precision, technical skills, and a result to take away or share.

2 h to 4 h · up to 24 pers.

Custom workshop

Murder mystery, escape game, culinary olympiads, hybrid format. We start from your objective and build the activity around it.

Variable duration · upon estimate
The extra idea

For large groups, we run several workshops simultaneously. For example, a combined tapas and mixology workshop: one team prepares the bites, the other the cocktails, and then everyone gets together to enjoy both.

They also combine during the day: a cooking workshop at noon and a wine tasting at the end of the day.

A successful seminar in an unusual downtown location

We booked the Meeting Room for a full-day work seminar. The availability of the team to help us set up, the chef's delicious cuisine, and the aesthetics and comfort of this unique venue right in the city center: all these elements allowed our seminar to take place under excellent conditions.

Frequently asked questions

What we are asked for most often

How do you handle participant lodging?

We book the rooms with our 3- to 5-star partner hotels, all located a 5- to 10-minute walk from the venue, and we coordinate arrivals, departures, and billing. You have a single point of contact.

What distinguishes a residential seminar from a traditional seminar?

The residential option includes at least one overnight stay on site. It allows for more ambitious programs, team evenings, and a real break from the daily routine, with no morning commute.

What is the ideal duration?

Two days and one night work very well. Some teams add a second night for a denser program or an arrival the evening before.

What do the participants do in the evening?

Dijon is at their doorstep: team dinner at a partner restaurant, private party in the Event Room, or free time in the city center. We build the evening with you.

How soon will we receive a quote?

Within 24 business hours after our initial exchange, accommodation included, line by line.
